Homann Karate Do wins BIG at the U.S. Open!

On July 9th Sensei Alex, Chris Zurisk and Sensei John competed in the USBA/WBA US Open breaking event. When it was over the crew captured two 1sts, two 2nds, a 3rd and one honorable mention.
The following day, July 10th, Sensei Alex competed in the ISKA Womens Creative Breaking event. She did very well given it was her first showing. One highlight was a huge elbow and hand strike on stacks of boards that the other competitors would have difficulty duplicating. Also, Sensei John competed as well and got a 5th in Power Concrete breaking, 2nd in the three directional breaking, 2nd in speed breaking (101 boards in 5 seconds), and captured 4th in his Creative Breaking division. Each place earned him overall points against other opponents striving to win the overall award. As a result he won the Ultimate Breaker title!

Homann Karate Do Championships
LET THE GAMES BEGIN! Our first event is officially scheduled for 7/28, Saturday at the Crown Point dojo. We will post registration forms and details of the divisions at the front desk. Also, please visit www.karatechampion.net to gather details and follow competitors as they accumulate points towards the "Competitor of the Year" award. We will keep points for each event as well as post breaking records! Be the first to set a record and tally points!
